The Season of Waiting

The Season of Waiting

It’s so busy and everything is moving so fast…

But… it is in fact, the season of waiting.

As mothers, parents, we are charged with creating memories and magic. It’s up to us to hang the stockings with glee, and adorn the tree with cheer. To shop for the “from the big guy,” and “from parents,” and also teachers, parents, siblings, in-laws, employees, helpers… wow don’t forget your spouse??? It. Is. A. Rush.

But… it is in fact, the season of waiting.

We wait for THE miracle. We spend the season in anticipation, praying for guidance to show our children the true meaning of the season.

We are busy. We are charged and determined. We stand to offer our littles the magic of Christmas we did or didn’t indulged in as children. We are charged to create the sparkle and joy. We hold the duty of shaping the season for our growing people.

It is heavy, it is vast, it is exhausting. But sis… we wait. For on Christmas Day, Christ is born and fulfills the most magical and meaningful joy of all. A promise that saves us all.

So as we approach, as we mother through this holiday season… stay focused, keep the strength, and know that your children see magic in all you create— in the lights you hang, the dinner you cook or the door-dash you order… the craft or game you facilitate or the movie you snuggle up to watch. Through the sitters you employ while you work to provide the holiday sparkle, or the smile you muster through the exhaustion of long hours at home with excitable kiddos.

Whatever your season looks like— we look forward to the beautiful promise of mercy and grace… and your babies see that in you. We wait, we anticipate— with patience—during the rush.

You got this mama ♥️
